Newtown Borough/Newtown Township:
One of the most desirable places in Bucks County, PA to live, shop and play, is Newtown.
A walk down State Street is like a walk through history where you will find the hardware store that has been in the same location since 1869 when it first opened, or the movie theater, which is the oldest operating theater in America. There are many fine restaurants and boutique shops offering a wide variety of goods, some vintage, some new as well as some upscale retail stores.
The excellent Council Rock School District is raked in the top 10% of all PA school districts and reflects the community’s strong commitment of education. There are also several superb private schools, and some of the best colleges and universities are about an hour away.
The once rural landscape is changing to meet the demands of the growing population, however, the colonial charm of this 300-year-old community remains intact. Living in Newtown provides the comfort and privacy of a small town, yet it is closely accessible to many types of recreational and cultural diversions.
